N is for Neptunite

Neptunite on Matrix from California

Neptunite:
Named for Neptune, Roman god of the sea.  That  name was chosen because aegerine is very similar and it is named for the Scandinavian sea god, Agir.  Neptunite was first discovered in Greenland, but the most famous location in Dallas Gem Mine, San Benito Co. California.  This mine produces the largest and finest crystals in the world.
