Robert Boyle

Robert Boyle:
Robert Boyle (1627-1691) is arguable the best known father of chemistry.  He was the greatest natural philosopher, chemist, and physicist.  He is also known for his writings in theology.  He helped pioneer modern experimental scientific methods.  (yes, these are the ones we use today).

He was such a modern worker that the law that relates the inversely proportional relationship between the absolute pressure and the volume of gas was named after him, Boyles Law.
